Christopher Omachi is an independent art advisor and dealer based in New York. His boutique advisory provides services focused on building and growing collections that value sustained personal, cultural, and market significance. Omachi works closely with private collectors, contemporary galleries, independent artists, and public collections to guide and facilitate their acquisitions, sales, and growth.
Previously, Omachi worked at several contemporary art galleries in New York including Gladstone, Pace, and Gagosian as well as Ruth | Catone advisory and Artsy, the world’s leading online marketplace for fine art. He also has extensive experience in the corporate world, having held positions at Audible and HBO leading business development, digital distribution, content strategy, and brand partnerships.
Omachi graduated with a BA in Art History from Bowdoin College. He is on the Board of Directors at Sugar Hill Children’s Museum of Art and Storytelling in Harlem, NY and is a member of the Noguchi Council at the Noguchi Museum in Queens, NY. He is a member of the Alumni Council to Bowdoin College and also serves on the Bowdoin College Museum of Art’s Collectors Collaborative.
He was born in Southern California, grew up in Chicago, and currently lives in Brooklyn.
